SHORT-TERM

Short-term volunteering programme allows you to travel around the country and contribute to the community. During your volunteering hours, you will be planning and teaching English and Cultural Exchange classes in Kenya. You are expected to be patient and enthusiastic about helping out the children.

DETAILS

You will be required to complete at least 4 hours of tasks per day. these may include teaching, planning social events and various activities. The tasks will be given to you by the experienced volunteers, who will also make sure you do your best. You will need your full attention towards the tasks for 4 hours per day, 5 days a week.

In your spare time, you are more than welcome to explore Kenya and travel around.

The minimum term duration of this programme is 2 weeks.

MID-TERM

On the mid-term programme, you will be focusing on creating and establishing a project that will create a real-life great effect on the children you will be helping. the project will need you combine both your personal and professional experiences in order to resolve an issue or a concern that will be established at your place of volunteering. You will impact people and create real positive results.

DETAILS

There are variety of tasks you are required to do on the mid-term volunteering programme. This includes 4 hours of locally-based tasks per day, e.g. preparing and teaching English lessons, planning events and activities. You will also need to complete 4 hours of international work, which involves working in teams of long-distance volunteers on such tasks as budgeting, donor relations and sponsorships, social media campaigns, and website development.

As a volunteer for this mid-term programme, you will develop your own project that focuses on resolving an issue with a long-term solution. The issue will be establish at your place of volunteering. You are more than welcome to suggest an issue you would like to resolve.

The minimum term duration of the programme is 4 weeks.

LONG-TERM

The long-perm programme is best suitable for those who want to gain important management and leadership skills, as well as give back to the community and help children in Kenya. This is a 4-months long programme, with volunteers completing such tasks centre operations, community development, fundraising and budgeting, as well as media. You will have a real-life impact on the lives of the children, gain skills and experience useful for a variety of fields, as well as receive coaching and mentoring from senior volunteers.

DETAILS

There is a combination of both locally- and internationally-based tasks that you will be required to complete. Local tasks will include preparing and teaching English, planning events and workshops,local maintenance projects, and more. Local tasks will require a total of 4 hours per day. International tasks include working with remotely-based international volunteers on such assignments as budgeting and finance, donor relations and sponsorships, social media campaigns, website development, and more. International tasks will require a total of 4 hours per day.

After completing this programme, you will also receive a certificate, as well as a letter of recommendation, if you will inquire about one.
