Requirements

As an Au Pair, you will be responsible for helping look after the children in your host family as well as completing some light household chores. You will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week, this may be increased depending on the host family you are paired up with. To apply for this role and start your journey to become an Au Pair in Australia, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Between the ages of 18 and 30 years old
  • Have some childcare experience (babysitting or nanny duties will qualify)
  • Only accepting female candidates
  • Be in good physical and mental health
  • Owning a full driving license is preferred but not required
  • Must be willing to live with an Australian family and participate as a temporary member of their family.
  • Be able to commit to at least 6 months in Australia
  • Have no criminal background
  • Be polite and have a positive attitude
  • Be enthusiastic to learn about a new culture any way of living

  • At least 1 form of ID
  • Two childcare references
  • One character reference
  • A completed application form with any relevant documents
  • Clean medical report
  • Clean police report
  • Working with children’s check (blue card)
